Our story
The Katija Hyoungjoo Neuber Institute was founded with a single mission: to empower young people as essential stakeholders in the political arena.
We began as a small team partnering with local youth organisations, providing resources and platforms that amplified their voices. Working directly with young people at the grassroots set us apart from traditional think tanks, and as we grew, that work extended to the international stage, supporting young leaders in global dialogues.
We remain committed to inclusivity, collaboration and research that leads to action. Our story is one of innovation and resilience, driven by the young leaders we serve.

Leadership
The Institute is led by its President, Jaewon Choi, and its Director, Lily YangLiu.
Partnerships and funding
The Institute is an autonomous research institute of the DMUN Foundation, an umbrella organisation that supports our advocacy in intergovernmental proceedings, our communications, fundraising and grants.
Financial support from donors makes our work possible, and we take care that it never compromises it. Funds must originate legally, morally and fairly, and we do not accept funding from national or local governments, intergovernmental organisations, or entities they own. That rule protects the political independence and neutrality of our research and advocacy.
